West Cork Butterfly Field Trip: Saturday 08 June 2013

Marsh Fritillary
The rare Marsh Fritillary — a target species on the West Cork Butterfly field excursion.

Butterfly enthusiasts Abigail Brewer, Damaris Lysaght and Ciaran Cronin are leading a guided butterfly field trip in West Cork on Saturday 08 June.

The day is open to everyone of all knowledge and experience levels, and offers a great opportunity to get out in the field with experts to search for butterflies. The team is hoping to head to the Mizen Head area in search of the elusive marsh fritillary and wall brown,  along with a good selection of other species.

For more information and to confirm the starting point and time for the day contact Ciaran Cronin on [email protected] or  0876408822.

UPDATE: Meeting at 11am at the Barleycove car park, West Cork Saturday 08 June — call Ciaran on the number above for more details.
