The world-renowned Wildlife Photographer of the Year (WPY) exhibition is coming to Dublin this year… for the first time ever… and we have a pair of free tickets to give away to one lucky Ireland’s Wildlife reader.
Co-owned by the Natural History Museum in London and the BBC, WPY is widely acknowledged as the world’s most prestigious wildlife photography award. Now in its 50th year, the competition has resulted in some of the most memorable and thought provoking images of the natural world ever recorded. Winning photographs from the previous year’s competition are on permanent exhibition at the Natural History Museum in London, and the touring exhibition visits venues around the UK and across the globe.
This year, for the first time in its long history, the WPY touring exhibition is coming to Dublin. From Friday 27 June to Sunday 31 August 2014 the 100 award winning images from the 2013 WPY competition will be on display in the chq Building on Dublin’s Docklands.
It’s a truly inspirational spectacle no wildlife enthusiast in Ireland should miss, and a visual treat for anyone who appreciates the beauty of the natural world. For more details on the exhibition and to book your tickets online (online ticket sales will be available from mid June onwards) visit www.wpy.ie.

Is the wildlife photographer of the year coming to dublin again this year? 2016/2017. I would love if it did. I go every year to London but I can’t make it this year and would love to see it in Dublin.
