Our half-day and full-day guided wildlife walks focus on the local wildlife of West Cork. They’re not just about soaking up the spectacular scenery and stunning ocean views… although of course that’s part of their appeal… they’re also about connecting with and enjoying the beauty of the natural world around you.
Start and End Point: The Celtic Ross Hotel, Rosscarbery, Co. Cork
Time: 10:00 — 13:00 or 14:30 — 17:30 (mornings only in winter)
Walking Grade: Easy: public roads and well-defined paths with easy access. Some moderate uphill sections.
Starting from the Celtic Ross Hotel we’ll explore the estuary, tidal pools, beaches, dunes and coastal cliffs of this beautiful part of Ireland looking for wildlife every step of the way. From wading birds and wildfowl on the estuary, to possible sightings of whales, dolphins, basking sharks and seals in the bay and further off-shore — you never know what you might see on one of these exciting and varied walks.
